Nigeria's Super Eagles maintained their 44th position and 4th in Africa in the latest FIFA rankings that was released on Thursday.
Having recently qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations slated for Cameroon after playing a 1-1 draw against South Africa with a game to spare, the three-time Africa also managed a 0-0 draw against Uganda in an international friendly played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State this month.
The Super Eagles are currently on 1,427 points and will hope to improve on their position when the next FIFA World Ranking is released.
Senegal have moved into the top position in the African list (and to number 23 in the world)‚ ahead of Tunisia (26)‚ Morocco (40)‚ Nigeria (44) and DR Congo (49).
On the other hand, Belgium remains top of the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, although the gap between the Red Devils, France (2nd, unchanged) and Brazil (3rd, unchanged) has narrowed over the past month.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 20 December 2018.
