A 25-year-old Israeli man was killed and his wife lightly injured after being hit by a car on Thursday while honeymooning in Thailand, according to Times of Israel.
The accident took place in the northern city of Pai, near the border with Myanmar. According to Hebrew media reports, the couple were standing at the side of the road with their motor scooter when they were hit by a passing vehicle.
The man was named by Hebrew media as Yedidya Kellerman of Nof Ayalon.
Kellerman was killed on the spot — a local doctor declared him dead at the scene — and his wife Kesem was lightly injured.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said its consulate in Bangkok was arranging for the body of the man to be flown back to Israel for burial. How sad!
