NORTH WEST THROWS TANTRUMS IN AS SHE ENJOYS A GIRLS DAY WITH HER MUM (PHOTOS)

NORTH WEST THROWS TANTRUMS IN AS SHE ENJOYS A GIRLS DAY WITH HER MUM (PHOTOS)

Kim Kardashian was on mummy duties yesterday as she went shopping with her daughter North West and she got more than she bargained for as the tot kicked off and threw a tantrum in the middle of the street.

The social media mogul, 35, took her eldest child out for a girls day, but it didn’t take long for North, also known as Nori, to throw a strop in front of the cameras.

Holding a lollipop, three-year-old Nori started screaming as she clutched the hand of her mum.

As Nori grew more irritated, Kim eventually swept her up in her arms and carried her across the city.

Kim kept it casual in an all-white ensemble comprised of shorts and a tank top, but maintained her ever present stylish edge with a pair of nude heels and a pair of giant sunglasses.

ALICIA KEYS INSPIRES SHOW ANCHORS TO REMOVE THEIR MAKEUP ON NATIONAL TV (PHOTOS)

ALICIA KEYS INSPIRES SHOW ANCHORS TO REMOVE THEIR MAKEUP ON NATIONAL TV (PHOTOS)

After facing some major backlash over her decision to go fresh faced to the MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday (Aug. 28), Alicia Keys is still advocating for the natural beauty a bare-face exudes.

During a recent stop on a show called 'Today' on Friday morning (Sept. 2), Keys made it clear that she still likes makeup; however, the choice to go without it is strictly her personal decision for now.
“Look, I love makeup too. It’s about how you feel. It’s about who you are. It’s about just being who you are and not letting anyone tell you who you should be. Even this conversation shows our obsession of the standard we hold women,” she said.

Because of her boldness, the Grammy-winning artist gave anchors Tamron Hall, Al Roker and Billy Bush the confidence to shed all of their makeup as well on national television, which to say the least isn’t an easy thing to do. In an extended version of the interview, Keys sat down with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, and revealed that getting to such point of self-awareness wasn’t easy.

“The biggest difference is my knowing of myself and the ability to really be comfortable exactly as I am, who I am,” she said. “It’s hard to get to that place. I think that’s something we battle with through our whole lives.”

Whether or not, one will choose to go makeup free is up to them. It’s not about the external, but more so, about knowing on the inside that we are all special in our own way. “We each have something that no one else has and it’d be so amazing to just embrace each other how we are,” she continued. “I think the most important thing is that you do what feels good for you. It’s not about anything else.”

NIGERIAN ORPHAN EMERGES BEST GRADUATING DOCTOR/STUDENT IN SUDAN UNIVERSITY (PHOTOS)

NIGERIAN ORPHAN EMERGES BEST GRADUATING DOCTOR/STUDENT IN SUDAN UNIVERSITY (PHOTOS)

Abdulkadir Islamiyat Oluwatoyin, who lost both parents before she was six, has emerged the best graduating student of the International University of Africa, IUA, Sudan.

She had her primary and secondary school education on scholarship, thanks to one Alhaja Sekinah Adekola the proprietress of Ad-din International College, Ibadan.

Islamiyat, who once won the Oyo state essay writing competition on poverty eradication, had to work for a year after her secondary school education before she registered for JAMB. She finally got admitted to the University Of Ibadan, to study medicine, around the same time, she got a scholarship to study Nursing at IUA.

She had to choose Sudan because it was a scholarship and studying medicine in Nigeria without a full pocket could be difficult. She, however, ended up graduating as a doctor because in her primordial year, she had a GPA of 3.61/4.00, above 3.50 (the school highest score then) and the Faculty of Medicine chose her to be one of her students.

In her speech at the graduation ceremony, she said: "One certain thing I know about myself which can't be disputed is that I am a living miracle of Allah. If you have searched for a proof of miracle but to no avail, look no further as I am here to testify to miracles of God.

I will always be grateful to Allah, and my parents despite not living long to know more about them. To my mum and namesake, I know you were proud of me but I am much more proud and envious of you because you had a beautiful life crowned and gifted with a daughter that will never let your dream go with the wind.

I miss you and I wished you were here to witness today. You are blessed mum and I won't say I love you instead I will say I love my existence for you because aside Allah and His prophet, the next person I live and exist for is YOU, I shall live to fulfill all your dreams. I Love you till the end of time, mom. continue to rest in peace."

HOW WE KEPT MARK ZUCKERBERG'S VISIT A SECRET -CcHUB CEO, TIJANI

HOW WE KEPT MARK ZUCKERBERG'S VISIT A SECRET -CcHUB CEO, TIJANI

Nigerians were very surprised during the week when news broke that Facebook CEO, the 7th richest man in the world, Mark Zuckerberg was in Nigeria.
Bosun Tijani, pictured below with Mark and CEO/Co-founder of the Co-creation Hub (CC-Hub), an incubator for technology start-up companies in Lagos, has opened up on the circumstances that led to Mark's grand visit.

Speaking during an interview with Punch Newspaper, Tijani said they were warned not to make Mark's visit public or he will turn back and go home.

His words:

  • How much went into keeping Mark's visit a secret?

It was challenging. We were literally warned not to (say anything); if there was a leak, he would turn
back, he wouldn’t come. The sixth or seventh richest man in the world; it was a security threat. We didn’t know on time that he was the one that was coming; we knew a CEO or executive was coming from Facebook. Then few weeks before his arrival, we were informed that he was coming.
  • What were some of your expectations of regarding his visit?

I had absolutely no expectations. I didn’t know what to expect. Of course, everyone was stunned to see Mark. People were confused. But he was a cool guy, reasonable, mingled with everybody and took selfies.

  •  Did he comment on the energy and culture of Lagos?

I think he was really stunned at the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians. He said from the moment (the plane) landed, people were different and the way people just wanted to do things, he could tell that a lot of people here are serious-minded entrepreneurs. He sees the opportunities, not only the fact that we have a big market; we have people who are talented, people who are dreamers and for him, that is a major part of our future and one of the things that will determine how far we go as a people.

  • What do you think about all the excitement that has come about as a result of Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to Nigeria?

Who would not be excited? This man is worth about, how much, between $53 and $55bn. That is a lot of money. He is worth much more than our budget. He is, probably, the sixth or seventh richest man in the world, walking the streets of Yaba, right here in Nigeria.

I think for a country like Nigeria, with all the bad press that we get and the cynicism around the name Nigeria, that was a huge surprise for everybody. It is unbelievable to a lot of people that Mark actually chose to come to Nigeria. It gives us hope that there is something unique about this place.

But unfortunately, we are not taking advantage of it. Again, think about it, do you know that he came in on the day Nigeria was proclaimed to be entering the worst recession in 29 years? What sort of coincidence is that? When the world is telling us that we are going down, one of the richest people in the world came and he was telling us, “You have a lot of good in you and you can go up.” It is a message.

ABUJA MAN WHO WANTS TO MEET ALL HIS 5K FACEBOOK FRIENDS BOARDS LAGOS TO MEET MARK ZUCKERBERG

ABUJA MAN WHO WANTS TO MEET ALL HIS 5K FACEBOOK FRIENDS BOARDS LAGOS TO MEET MARK ZUCKERBERG

A very determined man named Gaius Chibueze, some months back made known his intention to meet all his 5000 Facebook friends one to one. Although it might sound like the venture of a person with too much time on his hands, he has shown how serious he is.

When he learned Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is in Lagos, Gauis, who is based in Abuja instantly boarded a night bus to Lagos (pictured above) to meet with the man many look up to as a role model.

Before boarding the bus, Gaius chatted with Mark on the possibility of them meeting one to one, and surprising enough, Mark was very humble in his responses.

Read chat below

Gaius, about an hour ago arrived at Ojodu-Berger terminus in Lagos. The guy is very determined. I hope all his efforts pay off and he meets his hero, Mark Zuckerberg.
