According to report, a woman was apprehended after she allegedly dumped her newborn baby at Bakassi IDP camp in Maiduguri, Borno capital.
It was gathered that the refugee woman after giving birth, decided to throw away the baby after putting him in a sack and abandoning him, but unfortunately for her an alarm was raised by other refugees at the IDP camp who confronted her and forced her to retrieve the baby but it was already late as baby had already died before being rescued.
According to report, the woman was humiliated and disgraced at the IDP camp as she was paraded with the corpse of the dead baby before being handed over to the authorities at the IDP camp.
