Eight APC Lawmakers Who Served Ortom Impeachment Notice Suspended

The Benue State House of Assembly has suspended the eight lawmakers behind the alleged ‘impeachment notice’ served on the Governor of the state, Samuel Ortom on Monday.

They were suspended for six months.

19 lawmakers, under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during a counter plenary at the old banquet hall of the Government House in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, suspended the APC lawmakers for contempt of court and for holding illegal plenary.

Recall the eight APC lawmakers, had earlier today served the Governor who just defected from their party to PDP an impeachment notice.
