Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the Super Eagles would focus their attention on the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after the team's exit from the World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria were eliminated after losing 2-1 to Argentina in Tuesday's last Group D match of the World Cup and expected back in the country today.
The former sports administrator of Delta State said that they have put behind the team's exit from the World Cup and focus more on ensuring that Nigeria qualifies for the AFCON 2019.
“For the moment, we have to start preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, which is only 12 months away, as well as intensify the preparation of the Falconets (U20 Women Team) and the Super Falcons (Senior Women Team) for major championships coming up soon,” Pinnick said.
