France's President To Visit Buhari, African shrine

Yes you read right. France President, Emmanuel Macron, who is in Mauritanian capital Nouakchott to attend an African Union summit which held today, will go on to Nigeria’s capital Abuja for talks with President Muhammadu Buhari on security and terrorism, before coming to Lagos.

The Lagos State Government today in prepatration for his coming, said there would be traffic diversion and restricted movement from 12 noon to 12 midnight on July 3, around Alausa, African Shrine and Agidingbi axis in Ikeja.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Dr Taiwo Salaam, appealed for the understanding of residents and urged motorists to make use of alternative routes provided.

Macron is expected to be hosted by the state government at the African Shrine on Tuesday.

He would also be attending the opening of the French Cultural Centre and the African Business Forum.

Making him the first ever President to enter a venue synonymous with marijuana smoke, sexy backup dancers and more...
