According to report, the attack that also left at least eight other people injured, occurred around 8pm on Tuesday.
While confirming the incident, the spokesman of the state police command, Muhammad Shehu, stated that the gunmen invaded the village in large numbers and started shooting sporadically in Kwaddi village situated in a thick forest and surrounded by rocks while sharing boundary with the Niger Republic, a terrain he said made it difficult for security operatives to respond swiftly to any distress call.
However, he noted that security operatives had been deployed into the village to forestall further attacks and restore calm to the area. Recall that three people were killed in a similar attack on five villages in Gidan Goga district of Maradun local government area of the state just last week.
